STUDENT-LED Charity project.

Every book has
another chapter.

We give pre-loved books a new home—and turn small acts of generosity into support for our community.

01 / OUR STORY

Why SecondShelf?

A second shelf. A new reader.

The name SecondShelf reflects what we do: help a book move from one person’s shelf to another. A book someone has finished can still be enjoyed by a new reader, while its sale helps us support PALS Autism School.

We started in October 2025 to raise funds for PALS Autism School in New Westminster, British Columbia, by selling donated books.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

How our project runs

Collect & sell books

Most of our activity happens in person through charity book sales. Instagram plays a smaller role, helping people find us and get in touch about donating or buying books. We collect books from students and families, sort them by type and condition, and prepare individual books and sets for sale.

Record

We log the books we receive and track our sales income and expenses in separate records. Both records are linked below so visitors can follow the project’s progress.

Donate to PALS

We donate cash raised through the project, along with books, to PALS Autism School. Our visits help us stay connected with the school we support.
